APPROVING THE REQUEST AND AUTHORIZING THE USE OF DIRECT FUNDING AVAILABLE FROM THE AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN ACT OF 2021 FOR THE PURPOSES OF PANDEMIC RESPONSE, PANDEMIC RECOVERY INVESTMENTS, AND SUPPORT FOR VULNERABLE POPULATIONS.
WHEREAS, the City of Albuquerque, will submit the certification required for direct payment of federal funds as established under Subtitle M, Section 9901 - Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds of the America Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA); and
WHEREAS, the City of Albuquerque will request direct payment of Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds estimated at $56,760,000 which represents one-half of the allocation to the city and is available within 60 days of the enactment of ARPA or May 11, 2021; and
WHEREAS, the City of Albuquerque, will submit the certification required for direct payment of federal funds as established under Subtitle B - Housing Provisions, Section 3205 - Homelessness Assistance and Supportive Services Program of the America Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA); and
WHEREAS, the City of Albuquerque will request direct payment of Homelessness Assistance and Supportive Services Program estimated at $7,600,000 for which the development and support of affordable housing is an eligible and feasible use but for which housing rehabilitation is not a feasible use; and
WHEREAS, this plan focuses on families and businesses in need through Pandemic Response and Support for Vulnerable Populations and encouraging economic growth through Investments in Recovery; and
